What: UW–Madison’s Annual “Fill the Hill” Fundraiser
When: October 1–2, 2026 (Starting online at 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 1)
Where: Online at uwflamingos.com
Fill the Hill is coming back — but the flamingos can’t land without you! For 24 hours, every gift the university receives will add a plastic pink flamingo to the lawn of Bascom Hill.
Support the campus natural areas you love by designating your gift to the Lakeshore Nature Preserve.
Your gift helps the Preserve maintain:
- 10+ miles of trails and natural gathering spaces.
- A living laboratory for hands-on student learning.
- Biodiversity and ongoing ecological restoration projects.
Bring flamingo fun home!
Gifts of $100 or more qualify for a mini lawn flamingo, and gifts of $350 or more qualify for both a full-sized lawn flamingo and a mini one!
Mark your calendars and help fill the hill to keep the Lakeshore Nature Preserve thriving.
