Support the Lakeshore Nature Preserve Frautschi Center

Through generous support from Madison philanthropist Jerry Frautschi and his family, the UW has announced plans to build a visitor and education center at the Lakeshore Nature Preserve. The Lakeshore Nature Preserve Frautschi Center will showcase UW-Madison’s commitment to sustainability by being the state’s first “Living Building” and UW-Madison’s first net-positive energy building (meaning it will produce more energy than it consumes). The Frautschi Center will support hands-on experiential learning, in addition to providing a welcoming and accessible “front door” to the Preserve. Read the UW-Madison story
