Read the latest news from the Preserve

It’s the first day of Spring, and next week is spring break at UW-Madison! We hope you’ll use some of your downtime to read the latest news from the Lakeshore Nature Preserve in the March 2025 E-Newsletter. In recognition of the campus and community members who volunteered for the Preserve in 2024, we list their names in this issue. We also feature an interesting article with surprisingly beautiful photos of slime molds by Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve member Linda Deith. Preserve Field Projects Coordinator Adam Gundlach gives an update on ecological restoration efforts in Eagle Heights Woods. Read about fire circle use guidelines, spring field trips in the Preserve, and more.
