Fill the Hill is coming back — and this year, the flamingos are celebrating the university’s 175th anniversary! Starting at 5:00 pm on October 5, every gift the UW receives from Badgers and friends will add one pink lawn flamingo to our flock on Bascom Hill. Mark your calendar now for the fabulous feathery tradition – and help ensure that UW-Madison remains a world leader of education, research, and innovation for another 175 years!
You can direct your gift to the Lakeshore Nature Preserve to help protect its distinctive natural and cultural features while meeting the teaching, research, and outreach mission of the university. The Preserve also serves an invaluable role as a place for respite and well being with more than 10 miles of trails, gathering spaces, and myriad opportunities to engage with nature right on campus.
Visit uwflamingos.com anytime between Thursday, Oct. 5, at 5 p.m. CDT and Friday, Oct. 6, at 5 p.m. CDT to make a gift.
For more information about how your donation can help support the Preserve, contact the Preserve Interim Director at laura.wyatt@wisc.edu or 608-265-9275.
