Water Walk Video Series: A Virtual Tour of Wisconsin’s Yahara Watershed

The Water Walk video series is a tour of water in Wisconsin’s Yahara Watershed, the region that encompasses the Madison-area lakes–Mendota, Monona, Waubesa, Wingra and Kegonsa–and includes the Lakeshore Nature Preserve. The series explains how the people who live, work, and play here impact their drinking water, streams, and lakes.

The series was produced by the UW-Madison Water Sustainability and Climate project for the Lakeshore Nature Preserve. Funded by the National Science Foundation, the Water Sustainability and Climate project is an endeavor to understand how water, and the many other benefits nature provides people, could change over time.

You can watch the videos online or download them to your mobile device and watch them as you walk along Lake Mendota on the Lakeshore Path.
